Be Silent !!!!
Be Silent !!!! These are words we have heard in school........... Words we hated. Well there may be more to it that
a "discipline" command from your teacher. Silence ......... a simple word yet with so much power. Have you tried to
be silent for two hours .......... I mean really silent….
Silent in thought ........Silent in speech .........Silent in action........... most importantly silent in your mind. This
silence should not be the result of sulking or forced silence. It should be relaxed ...... a quite happy time. You
should be able to go about all your work without communicating with anybody ........ without feeling the need
to communicate with anybody. Silence builds a strong force inside you. Your thoughts become calm and clear.
You are able to monitor your breathing and you will be able to breathe slowly with control. The constant act
of speaking will cause a sort of vibration in your head that will make you feel mentally tired. Silence will reverse
such an effect. The Buddha advocated silence to people in the quest of perfecting their meditation. He often
spent days without saying a word.Try it some time and you will love it so much that you will start putting away time
to be "Perfectly Silent".
